Does anybody know what time the Halloween Dance is this year? I joke. Sort of. A little gremlin has confirmed that the dance this year is happening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Sam Deadston School. And EVERYONE is invited!
This is quite likely the single most popular event that the school council offers. You really won’t want to miss it. So much fun for all ages. There are free games and free crafts. The pumpkin/cake walk is $0.50 so bring some coins to take a stab (see what I did there?) at winning yourself a cool pumpkin to carve or a delicious cake to help make your belly the size of a pumpkin!
As with all our school council events, tickets can be purchased through Healthy Hunger. Click that link to go straight to the website. Cost is $3 per adult, $2 per child, or $10 per family.
This is a huge event which means (oh man, here it comes) we need volunteers and donations to make it a success. All the volunteer spots, and there are a lot of them, can be found following this link to SignUp.com. Please have a look and see if there is an opportunity that suits your availability to help make this even the legend that is has become. Donations are welcome too as we need lots of cakes and pumpkins for the famous cakewalk/pumpkinwalk. Please, do help if you can.
A couple notes of import. If you wish to partake in the excellent Envirolab tour, another freebie, we recommend you bring a flashlight to help ward off any ghouls reaching up from below. Also, if it snows (yeah, I know, I totally jinxed it by writing that), please bring indoor shoes so that the floors remain clean. Donations can be dropped off at the school Thursday afternoon, Friday morning, or when you come to the dance.
Oh, and the dance, of course. Our favourite DJ will be droppin’ the hits so you can get down all night long. Arh-woooooooo!
